IMO pedophiles can never be rehabilitated because it is a sexual preference. that’s like sayin can a heterosexual person stop bein hetero…the only way people have found to “cure” it is castration. some of them choose this to stop themselves.

See I feel exactly the same way. Well, maybe not about castration but I don’t think they can be rehabilitated. We have 2 pregnant women in the office and he’s alwas asking them, when are you due. Oh I can’t wait to see the baby. And before I found this out I just thought oh he’s just being supportive like the rest of us, but now my brain in running crazy.

Pedophilia is NOT a sexual preference. To call it that is to diminish the severity of the disorder. It is a pathological, psychiatric disorder that most likely cant ever be rehabilitated (even chemical castration has its drawbacks). I feel language is VERY imporant in discussions like this. Sexual preference and sexual DISORDER are not the same.
